Tyres and Medals are Counted

 

On last Sunday of May employees of ATP not only celebrated professional holiday – Chemist’s Day, but also summed up the work of the plant since the start of the year.   

 

Altai Tyre Plant is one of the largest representatives of petrochemical industry in Russia. This plant is one of the most successful and quickly developing enterprises with multiple thousands of employees and serious plans for the near future in Altai Region and Barnaul.

  Within twenty four hours Altai Tyre Plant:

-          Rubberizes at the average about 39,100 square meters of cord;

-          Produces approximately 9,000 treads;

-          Produces up to 900 rubber batches. Each batch makes from 160 to 190 kilometers of rubber compound. And this data includes only major preparation process, because - besides stock-preparation shop - rubber compound is produced in the shop of specialized tyre production that produces rubber for aircraft tyres and mass products.

During the year these figures make up quite significant results. In comparison with January – April 2009 this year have seen increase of volume of production in every segment of tyre market at Altai Tyre Plant.

Total volume of production for the first four months of 2010 exceeded last year’s indexes by as much as 21.2%. Share of ATP on the market is 5.1% of Russia’s total production of tyres for trucks, light-duty trucks, trolleybuses, buses, agricultural and building machinery.  

In the truck segment dynamics made 127%. Market share is 9.1%. Production of tyres for light-duty trucks increased by 4.2% as compared to the previous year (market share is 10.1%), tyres for motor cars – by 26% (market share is 1.8%). The most significant increase as always can be seen in agricultural segment – 134.7%. Share of Altai Tyre Plant in Russia’s total production volume of tyres for agricultural machinery as of January-April is 21.9%   

Success of the Plant is determined by complete professionalism and conscientious work of each employee. In 2010 employees of ATP were traditionally awarded with the most honorable awards. On the eve of professional holiday employees of ATP got 52 honorary certificates and 17 letters of gratitude from the administration of Leninski District of the city of Barnaul, Altai Region, one personal thanks from the governor and 1 medal of labor merit. Besides 20 employees were awarded the title of “Honorary Employee of the Plant” and 69 people were awarded the title of “Honorary Veteran of the Plant”. At the end of May ATP also summed up annual competition of workmanship. 36 employees were declared “best by profession” in seven nominations: the best production team, the best maintenance team; the best process engineering sector; the best worker of primary production; the best worker of mechanical and power engineering, the best production engineer and the best production foreman.
