The company has set the goal to gain a foothold on the market through the production of wide variety of goods of a high quality. The 2005 saw significant investments into the production modernization. Shop floors of the plant are equipped with up-to-date equipment, in-demand tyres and inner tubes are launched into mass production. The plant continues production of premium products – aircraft tyres. And by 2006 the plant launches production of tyres under the trade mark “Forward”.
Great work that was carried out in 2005-2006 in the sphere of product quality improvement, as well as the appearance of the most popular standard size types of tyres, resulted in significant success of disposal of goods. Sales volume of tyres produced in Altai increased by about 30%. The list of long-term customers was added with large accounts: oil companies, “Russian Railways”, Russian military installations started to equip their vehicles with tyres from ATP. One of the major achievements of the Plant in 2006 was the beginning of product shipments to large Russian plants: OJSC “KAMAZ”, Stavropol Trailer Plant. We also continued to work with the companies “Avtomobili i Motory Urala”, OJSC “Kurganskie Avtopritsepy”.
An important event happened in 2006, when our enterprise won a tender for the shipments of tyres for aircraft and motor vehicles to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Large government orders were fully executed right on time. Since then the bonds grow stronger, the plant extends product line that Altai’s tyre manufacturers specially produce for military agency.
Effective management, well-established sales policy and attractive prices have helped the plant expand market channels significantly. ATP has developed close business relations with the consumers in CIS countries, countries of Western Europe, Central Asia, and Africa.
By the year 2007 products of Altai Tyre Plant became the leader of Russian market according to price-quality trade-off. To meet growing demands the Plant increased production volume by more than 30%. At the same time the enterprise adopts the production of 13 tyre models with the most in-demand standard sizes.
During a four-year period of intensive work the important strategic tasks were executed. Tyre production volume grew twice – by 70.5%. Variety of goods was extended by as much as 150%. While in the year 2004 the price-list of the company included only 42 tyre models, by now this figure has grown up to 100 items.
At present the products of ATP for motor vehicles and agricultural machinery are represented on the market by two trademarks. Under the brand of “Forward” the consumers get tyre models that have embodied all good things the modernization policy has to offer. “Forward” are the tyres produced with the use of new equipment and enhanced materials. Beginning with 2009 under the brand of “Altaishina” ATP produces “traditional” models – ordinary and durable tyres for everyday use.
Flexibility and mobility allow the Plant to in no time respond to market changes and efficiently use favorable conditions to its advantage and growth. In the year 2009 ATP extended its model line-up with 9 aircraft tyres.
The Plant is permanently one of the largest tyre manufacturers in Russia. As of present Altai Tyre Plant is the second largest manufacturer of tyres for agricultural machinery and the third largest manufacturer of truck tyres.
Having gained the recognition among the consumers on the domestic market ATP strives for expanding business partnership with foreign customers. The third part of the Plant’s products is exported. Regular customers of the company include firms from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, DPRK, Cuba, Latvia, Lithuania, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Estonia, and Ethiopia.
Commitment for development, the ability to flexibly and quickly change made it possible for Altai Tyre Plant to achieve strong position in short time. Today the company envisages new paths to new tops, which it plans to conquer together with its partners.
